Richardson vs. Berkner - 2020 Week 11 Football Highlights
Don't look now, but the Richardson Eagles are undefeated in District 7-6A. They hosted Berkner Friday at Eagle-Mustang Stadium. Eagles quarterback AARON BERTRAND broke free for an 18-yard gain here; he rushed 21 times for 96 yards and *three* touchdowns. This drive ended with what is technically a touchdown pass. Bertrand tossed it to his receiver in motion, and DE'AUNDRE JOHNSON did the rest, fighting his way in for an 8-yard touchdown catch. 8-0 Richardson.
Berkner was facing third and long in the 2nd quarter when their quarterback JAMAAL SAINE faked a pass and then took off, picking up 19 yards, plus another 15 after a late hit by the Richardson defense. Now inside the red zone, facing 3rd down, Richardson's ADDARIUS GOODSON sacked the quarterback, forcing a field goal attempt which the Rams missed, so it was still 8-0. Under a minute to go in the half, Richardson facing 4th and 7, and the Eagles go with fake two handoffs, and BERTRAND and JOHNSON hook up again. Richardson is 3-0 in district after beating Berkner 34-7.
