Thursday night at the Boneyard, Berkner played host to JJ Pearce in a game that might decide the final playoff spot in 7-6A.
2nd quarter, CORNELL MC-GEE THE FOURTH connected with DAQUWAN DUNN for 48 yards to tie the game.
Less than 3 minutes later, PRESLEY HARPER hooked up with JEWLYEN ROBERTS to give JJP a 14-13 lead.
The teams traded touchdowns, so Pearce led 21-14 when they made the mistake of kicking off to JAMARY WILLIAMS. He used a block to turn the corner, and now he's rolling. This would go for a 92-yard kickoff return, and it was tied at 21 at halftime.
Pearce didn't score again until they needed to -- RYAN WILLIAMS and all his friends pushed into the end zone to tie the game at 28 with 2:40 left to go.
Clock ticking, under 50 seconds for Berkner, and MC-GEE finds a wide open DEMARCUS CALHOUN, and that's ball game! Berkner wins a thriller, 35-28.
