Richardson Eagles vs. Berkner Rams - 2013 Basketball - Week 2

July 21, 2018
It was a battle for first place in district 9-5A as Fresno State commit Soma Edo and Richardson Berkner welcomed crosstown rival Richardson, who is off to a surprising 5-0 start in district... The Eagles were hitting their outside shots early on... Eric Johnson knocks down a trey from the corner... And then Brandon Scott finds him on the wing for three more and Richardson had an early five-point lead... Then check out this sequence... Scott knocks down a three to extend the Eagles' lead... Berkner tries to run quickly with it the other way but Nylan Yancy is having none of that! He gets up there for the nice swat! But Berkner is ranked eighth in the state for a reason... The Rams settle down and take over... Off the turnover, it's Kendal Yancy-Harris coming the other way, he converts the layup and gets fouled... The three-point play gave the Rams their first lead at 17-15... Full-court pressure would cause issues for Richardson... Here another turnover, and it's Keenan Evans going all the way in... And one... Rams led by 12 at halftime... And they kept running in the second half... Look at Yancy-Harris drops a sweet dime to Torey Everrett, who gets the easy layup on the break... And Edo would put this game away inside, here he gets around his defender and goes up and under for the layup... He had a team-high 18 points as Berkner pulls away for the 80-61 win.
