Rematch of last year's first round matchup as Arlington Martin took on Richardson Berkner.
Martin had the ground game working Thursday night as the Warriors ran for 325 yards. Brooks Brigance on Martin's opening drive goes 66 yards before stepping out at the 3 yard line, but Warriors would later score.. 7-0.
It was 21-0 when Berkner finally got on the board. Jamary Williams with the 39 yard touchdown. He would later tie a Texas HS Football record with a 99 yard td run in the 3rd.
But we always tell you that Martin's special teams are....well, special....and on the ensuing kickoff they proved it again. Zavien Abercrombie with the 99 yard return to the house. Martin wins 42-16 and will face the Allen Eagles next week.
