The Allen-Prosper game started more than 2 hours late - they didn't kick off until about 9:15.
After all that waiting, the first touchdown was scored quickly - just 27 seconds into the game. MICAH ELLIS ripped off a 62-yard touchdown run on Allen's second play of the game. It was 7-0.
Later in the first quarter, it was ELLIS again scoring, and this was looking like an Allen runaway -- 14-0 midway through the first quarter.
You gotta see this run from TREVOR MONTAYNE. He should be down after a nice gain, but stays on his feet and then shifts into high gear. It's a 65-yard touchdown run for MONTAYNE, and Prosper actually led 23-17 at halftime.
Prosper scored another touchdown in the 3rd quarter on a pass from HARRISON ROSAR to HUNTER SUMMERS; it was 29-17 Prosper.
Just over 5 minutes left, Allen knocking on the door with a 4th and goal ... but the pressure forces a bad throw, and Prosper beats Allen for the 2nd year in a row, 29-24 the final.
