Plano Lady Wildcats vs. Rowlett Lady Eagles - 2013 Basketball - Week 7

Plano, led by senior Wilma Afunujo, took on Rowlett Friday night, and the Lady Wildcats had a slim 4-point lead at the half...Second half, though, Plano was really tough...They start off by going inside to Afunujo, who goes up strong, gets fouled and converts the basket...Later in the third, Haley Wray deflects the pass, chases down the loose ball and goes all the way in the layup, Plano up 7...Rowlett trying to chip away at the lead... off the miss here, Taylor Dupuy is able to grab the rebound and put it back up for 2...Then Rowlett's Dominique Oliver, pokes the ball away, Mersades Carter comes up with it and fires it ahead to Oliver who gets the layup... Rowlett still down 7, though and they wouldn't get much closer than that...Fourth quarter was all Plano... the Lady Wildcats go inside here to the senior Afunujo, who goes up for 2 of her game-high 16 points...Then, it's Kara Mitchell, killing a little time dribbling, then just decides to cut right through the defense like nobody is there, that was easy... 2 of her 9 points...The Lady Wildcats pull away and win comfortably... 60-41, so it's Plano and Skyline in the third round...
