Plano Lady Wildcats vs. Plano West Lady Wolves - 2013 Basketball - Week 3

The Plano West Lady Wolves are ranked 3rd in the state, but found themselves in a real dogfight with Plano Tuesday night. First half, Tyara Warren throws it to Utah-bound Devri Owens who stops and drops the 3 pointer for West. on the other end, Binna Kim (asian) answers back for the Lady Wildcats with a teardrop 3 from the corner. Then, Grace Mithcell rebounds the missed shot and gets hacked while scoring. This game was tight throughout as first place in district 10-5A was on the line. Warren jumps into the passing lane for the steal. She goes down to the other end for the layup and Plano West was back up. But Plano would prevail. Wilma Afunugo has her arm held, but still manages to score. The Lady Wildcats pull off the upset 72-62 and stake claim to sole possession of first place.
