Pilot Point Rolls Past Life Oak Cliff 38-6 Behind Fischer's Big Night
District 5-3A had a statement game Friday night in Pilot Point, and the Bearcats delivered one from the opening drive. Life Oak Cliff made the trip north, but it didn't take long for Pilot Point to establish control of the contest.
Quarterback Luke Daniel connected with Hastings Fischer in the back of the end zone on the game's first scoring drive, getting Pilot Point on the board early. Fischer then made his presence felt on the other side of the ball, stepping in front of a Camren Phillips pass and returning the interception down the sideline for a pick-six — a two-score swing that effectively set the tone for the rest of the night.
Daniel kept the Bearcat offense moving through the air, hitting Luke Connor twice on strikes down the seam for touchdowns. Daniel finished with three touchdown passes on the night, with Connor hauling in two of them. Pilot Point rolled to a 38-6 victory over Life Oak Cliff, a dominant performance that reinforced the Bearcats' standing in district play.
