Parish Episcopal and John Paul II met in Waco to decide the TAPPS 6A championship
- Clock winding down in the second quarter... Sawyer Batz comes up with the loose ball for Parish, and he'll get the lay-in to beat the halftime buzzer and give his team a 26-22 lead at the break
- Fast forward to early in the 4th... John Paul II is down 3, but they find the bobblehead winner and Richmond commit Bryson McGlothin, who connects from downtown to tie the game
- JP2 is up one with a minute and a half to go, but Antoine Almuttar with a HUGE steal, he takes it all way to the rack, he's going to be fouled, but he'd hit both free throws to give the Panthers the lead
- But the Cardinals take it right back when Timothy Koeppl kicks it out to Alexander Russell, who hits the 3 to make it 42-40...
- It's tied with under 20 to go... Parish patiently works it around, then Taurean Mitchell finds Armon Almuttar for the go-ahead bucket with 6 seconds to go and that would prove to be the game winner!
