Mesquite Skeeters vs. Mesquite Horn Jaguars - 2013 Basketball - Week 3

To Mesquite we go for a cross town show down between the Mesquite Skeeters and the high flying Rashard Higgins squaring off against the Mesquite Horn Jaguars. Higgins gets it going early when he blows by his defender and gets the tough little leaner to drop off the glass, nice shot there. Back come the Jags, here Zach Charles gets set up in the corner and he buries the tre, Charles a solid game with 10. Then Mesquite's Alex Cooper gets involved, watch him get off the TOUGH shot with his defender all over him and yet he still calls glass....yep, I heard him. Then Cooper again taking things in own hands, this as the 1st quarter winds down he lines up the tre and RATTLES it home at the buzzer, Cooper a nice game with 13. 2nd quarter action now, here Anthony Sharp finds Adrian Chevis in the corner and the quick release three for Chevis is good. Then Chevis would give a little show time, here the Skeeters miss fire on the three, Chevis grabs the long rebound, takes off down the court and drops home the up and under scoop off the glass, WOW! That was sweet! Chevis finished with 11 and you know what else is sweet? A win...which is what Horn got as they upset their cross town foe 52-43.
