And with a full moon out, the Wolves were howling early on. Zuric Humes with a pass to Cameron Bates who breaks it for a 62 yard touchdown putting Timberview up 6-0.
They get the ball back and Humes goes deep again. This time 51 yards to A J Moore to the 4 yard line where Timberview would later score and the Wolves led 13-0 2 minutes into the game.
But the Royals absorbed those body blows and started fighting back. Drew Kates with a pass over the middle to Deon Jones and Deon turns that into a 39 yard score to make it a 13-7 deficit.
Still first quarter, that connection works again. 47 yards this time as Kates goes deep to Jones. Richland up 14-13 and this little one is loving it.
The Royals would then lean on Michael Turner who ran 38 times for 163 yards and 3 touchdowns as Richland wins the district title with a 37-27 victory.
