Another outstanding game took place at Newsom as rivals, Summit and Mansfield went at it.
First quarter, Summit's Demarus Bird has time in the pocket to survey the entire field and he spots his guy, Joseph Williams breaking free and that's a 67 yard touchdown to get the Jags on top 7-0.
Worked so well there, Bird decides to go back to Williams in the 2nd quarter....what a catch there. Bird with 4 td passes on the night and Summit cruising 23-7 at the half.
But there's always a second half and here comes the Tigers. They score twice in 14 seconds. This one on a half back option from Jacoby Hayes to Zion Robinson. Robinson cuts across the field and he goes 28 yards for the score. Mansfield only down 23-20.
Later 3rd quarter, Braxton Van Cleave hits Tim Abraham in stride who bobbles it but hauls it in for a 47 yard touchdown and Mansfield takes the 26-23 lead.
Fourth quarter, down 30-26, Van Cleave takes it in himself from the 21. Van Cleave with 352 total yards and 5 touchdowns as Mansfield completes the comeback with a 39-37 win
