Lovejoy Lady Bobcats vs McKinney North Lady Bulldogs - 2013 Basketball - Week 4

McKinney North has quietly put together a great season behind Alexis Mason who is heading to Abilene Christian. The Lady Bulldogs are ranked 8th in 4-A Mason was a force to be reckoned with from the start. Here she steals the pass and goes the other way for the layup putting North up 14-9 after 1. For the Lovejoy, Cassie Conarty with the hesitation dribble that gets her to the tin for the basket. Then Conarty got the ball to Stefanie Lewerenz in the paint where she could use her height advantage for the score. Mason would show her whole game Tuesday night. She can score from the inside, as she did here. She can block shots, as she swats away 2 Lovejoy attempts in the first half. And finally, you can't forget she has an outside game too. Mason with the 3 from the corner to cap off a 19 point game and give the Lady Bulldogs a 27-14 lead. And, folks, Mason wasn't even North's best option. Chanterria Jackson led all scorers with 25 points as she scores in the paint here. McKinney North had them dancing on the baseline as they beat Lovejoy 55-45 to go to 10-0 in district play.
