Little Elm Dominates Austin Westlake 57-35 for First State Title
March 17, 2026
Watch highlights as Little Elm defeats Austin Westlake 57-35 to win their first state basketball championship behind Game MVP Josh Weems.
In a historic performance, the Little Elm Lobos secured their first-ever state basketball title by defeating the Austin Westlake Chaparrals 57-35. Although Westlake featured 5-star recruit Bo Ogden, who scored 18 points in front of Texas head coach Sean Miller, Little Elm's dynamic offense proved too much to handle. The Lobos established an early lead and never looked back, taking a commanding 26-10 advantage into halftime. Game MVP Josh Weems finished with 16 points and 8 assists, orchestrating several alley-oops with teammate Kensington Candler. The victory marks a significant milestone for the Little Elm program as they celebrate their inaugural state championship.
