Lewisville Dominates Denton Guyer 42-7, Stays Unbeaten in District Play
Without their star quarterback, the Lewisville Fighting Farmers didn't flinch. Laykon Brassfield remained sidelined due to a residency-related eligibility ruling, but the Farmers wasted no time making a statement against visiting Denton Guyer, rolling to a 42-7 victory to stay perfect in district play.
Sam Houston State safety commit Aiden Evans stepped in at quarterback and connected with Xavier Miles on a deep shot on the opening drive to put Lewisville on the board first. After Guyer tied the game, the Farmers answered with one of the more creative plays of the district season — a double pass. Evans pitched it to Duece Mathis, who then launched it downfield to Derrick Martin for the go-ahead score, pushing the lead to 14-7.
From there, it was Mathis who took over. The versatile playmaker returned not one but two punts for touchdowns, turning the game into a rout. Lewisville led 28-7 at halftime and never let up, closing out a dominant 42-7 final. The win reinforces the Farmers as a serious district contender, even as they await clarity on Brassfield's eligibility situation.
