LD Bell Blue Raiders vs. Colleyville Heritage Panthers - 2013 Basketball - Week 3

Stephen Hamrick's Colleyville Heritage haven't picked up a loss yet in district play, but the LD Bell Blue Raiders were hoping some home cooking could help them knock off the Panthers Bell's Marcus Dixon got the game started off nice with the baby hook in the paint. And then Akeem Black passes to Dixon who hands it right back and Black scores and is fouled. Big play there and it was also our Goodwill Drive of the Week. Heritage started counterpunching....Dominic Perez with the corner trey....nothing but net....he led all scorers with 22 points. Then, watch the hustle on defense, Colton GO-ber steals the ball, dives on it and from his stomach flips it to Derrick Donnell for the driving layup. Bell's T.J. Brown dribbles around until he finds his favorite spot on the court...just inside the key for the long jumper. Raiders and Panthers in a tight one early. Then GO-ber started getting hot from behind the arc. To quote Alicia Keys...."That boy was on FI-RE"....the youngster drained 3 in a row and had the crowd calling his name. And when Go-ber got 'em thinking 3 ball, he just took off to the rack for the bucket. 18 points for Go-ber, but Heritage needed overtime to knock off Bell 56-53.
