Lancaster vs Amarillo - 2023 Week 29 Basketball Highlights

The #1 ranked LancasterTigers led by former bobblehead winner Dillon Battie battled Amarillo in 5A semi-final game Thursday night. The Tigers' D was stingy early as Deontrell Barrett steps in front of that pass and then has open court ahead of him and lays it home for 2. Another Tiger takeaway here and this time Battie gets to finish it off as he avoids the defender nicely for the bucket. Points were hard to come by in this one as Lancaster had just a 13-8 halftime lead. 2nd half now, Lancaster defense still standing strong, this time Des'Meon Jones gets the steal and goes all the way in for the bucket giving the Tigers this week Defensive Title Belt. Amarillo kept it close, Braden Hausen goes off the glass here for 2 of his game high 14. But Battie and company would take care of business down the stretch, Battie gets 3 the hard way here as he finished with 13 and the Tigers advance to play Killeen Ellison in the 5A state championship game with the 44-31 victory over Amarillo.
