Lakeview Centennial Patriots vs. Rowlett Eagles - 2013 Basketball - Week 2

We move to Garland now for a showdown in 11-5A between Rowlett and Lakeview Centennial. Rowlett led by Oklahoma State commit Jeffrey Carroll. The Oklahoma state commit leads the area in scoring with 23 points a game and put on a show in warmups. Early on it was Centennial making all the noise though as Charles Beauregard makes this look easy going coast to coast for 2 of a game high 20 points. Rowlett would get good ball movement here that ends up in a corner 3 for Nathan Hawkins, give him 16 on the night. But Centennial was in attack mode all night long, here Cameron Hardy slices through the middle of the lane to get another easy layup. Then its Adrian Atos getting the steal off the inbounds pass, he feeds Beauregard for an easy deuce and the Patriots start the game with a 23-5 run. Rowlett in a daze after a flurry of haymakers to start. It would prove to be too much as Centennial was relentless, here its Michael Thomas-Vaugan getting more points in the paint and Centennial dominates this one from start to finish, winning by a final of 76-50, they stay undefeated in district play, Rowlett falls to 4-2.
