In a 3A state semi, Autumn Williams who was the MVP of the regionals, led Kennedale against Smithville which is located just East of Austin. The Wildcats were ladies on a mission in this one. McKinley Bostad finds Travanti Downes for the turnaround jumper from the baseline as Kennedale led by 20 after just a quarter. They continued their high powered offensive attack as Bostad feeds Williams for the clear path layup. Williams with 22 points for the Wildcats much to the liking of Coach Vance Hughes. 2nd quarter, watch the swarming Kennedale defense which was too much for Smithville all day. Williams with the steal and that springs Townes for the layup. Townes with 22 points and 12 boards as Kennedale advances to the 3A final with the 87-66 win. They will play the winner of our next game.
