Kennedale Lady Wildcats State Title Recap - 2013 Basketball

It was the Wildcats 2nd trip to state and they took on Mexia for the 3-A championship. Kennedale would trail early, but McKinley Bostad would help bring them back with this dead on 3 ball. 17-12 Wildcats after 1. They would extend the lead in the 2nd quarter. On the fast break, Autumn Williams does it her self and Kennedale would lead 27-17. 3rd quarter, Bostad hits another 3 pointer. She finished with 19 points and Kennedale led 47-46. 4th quarter, Williams scores on the turnaround jumper in the paint putting the Wildcats up 51-50. Kennedale would turn the ball over 27 times in the game...this one leads to a Brechelle Beachum layup and Mexia wins it 69-62 and hands the Wildcats a bitter pill to swallow.
