Grapevine fans were fired up Friday night for key district 6-5A showdown with first-place Irving MacArthur But Irving Mac's Tavarius Shine was in a zone... here in the 2nd, he knocks down the outside jumper to put his team up 5... Then Grapevine trying a little press but the Cardinals beat and get it to Shine who THROWS DOWN THE MONSTER JAM... AND the foul... he had 19 points at the half... Cards up 29-21 at the break... Grapevine would force some turnovers to get back in this thing... Kaleb Castro gets the steal and goes all the way in for 2... the Mustangs would get as close as 3, But there was no stopping Mr. Shine... Here he goes coast to coast, glides in for the layup AND draws the foul... Then off a turnover, Demerick Bush fires it ahead to Shine who finishes the break with the jam... 41 points on the night for Tavarius Shine! And Irving Mac gets the win 68-52.
