Highland Park coach Randy Allen came into this game against Lewisville needing one win to reach a milestone - more on that in a moment.
The Scots led 17-10 at halftime, but Lewisville tied the game less than 2 minutes into the 3rd quarter, when VIRON ELLISON broke loose for a 57-yard touchdown. It was 17-17.
A few minutes later - H-P facing a *3rd and 25* - and they get a touchdown pass from BRENNAN STORER to LUKE HERRING. The Scots were back in front 24-17.
The first play of the 4th quarter was a 4th down and 1 for Lewisville, inside Highland Park's 10 yard line, but the Scots defense came up with a *huge* stop. It took the referees a moment, but they ruled a "turnover on downs," and the Scots took over on offense.
Later in the 4th, STORER connects with GRAYSON SHRANK to seal the win, 31-to-17. It's win number 426 for Coach Allen, and that ties him for 2nd all-time in the state of Texas, with the legendary G.A. Moore.
