Hebron Stuns Flower Mound 42-41 with 28-Point 4th Quarter Comeback

November 5, 2026
Down 27 at halftime, Hebron QB Brady Brock led a stunning 28-point 4th quarter comeback to stun Flower Mound 42-41 in a 5-6A playoff positioning game.

Twenty-seven points down at halftime is the kind of deficit that ends seasons. For the Hebron Hawks, it was just the setup.

In a critical District 5-6A playoff positioning matchup at home against the Flower Mound Jaguars, Hebron found itself in a deep hole early. Flower Mound's Baron Sampson connected with Trey Brown on just the second play of the game, and though that pass fell incomplete, the Jaguars scored one play later to grab a 7-0 lead. From there, James Ashitey took over — the Flower Mound defensive back recorded three interceptions in the first half alone, helping the Jaguars build a commanding 34-7 advantage heading into the break.

Then Brady Brock happened. The Hebron quarterback put together one of the more remarkable individual performances of the 5-6A season, throwing for 253 yards while adding a team-high 108 rushing yards. Brock orchestrated a 28-point fourth quarter that erased the deficit entirely and put the Hawks in front for the first time all night.

Flower Mound had one last chance — a Hail Mary on the final play — but it was knocked down, and the Hebron Hawks walked off with a 42-41 victory. The win not only carries major playoff positioning implications in 5-6A but also earned Hebron Texas Oncology Team of the Week honors.
