Hebron Hawks vs. North Crowley Panthers - 2013 Basketball - Week 9

Hebron's Ridge Shipley trying to rally the troops for their regional semifinal matchup with the North Crowley Panthers. And, folks, this is how you start a game. First possession and Shipley runs the pick and roll with Connor McClenaghan to perfection. It ends with an alley oop dunk and that certainly got the crowd hyped. Later, Chase Mortensen sees that Jeff Hicks is completely unguarded, so he gets him the ball for the open 3.....BINGO.....Hicks was on his way to a 20 point night. But the Panthers Jalan McCloud showed some sweet one on one moves. as he crosses up his defender and then hits the long trifecta. That gave North Crowley a 11-7 lead after 1. Not much scoring in the 2nd quarter, but when Hicks picks up the loose ball, Shipley takes off. Hicks gets him the rock, Shipley initiates the contact and scores. Hawks up 19-15 at half. 2nd half, Torrence Neal gets blocked by McClenaghan and Shipley saves it from going out of bounds. We're heading the other direction and watch the beautiful bounce pass to Tyler Williams for the deuce. Hebron starting to get some separation leading by 10. Panthers cut it to 7 after 3 when Caleb Banks gets in the lane with the scoop shot, but the Hawks turned up the defensive intensity. Jeff Hicks with the steal, passes it to his brother, Jeremy, who gets it right back to Jeff for 2. Hebron wins 55-37 and will play the winner of our next game.
