The Grapevine Mustangs hit the road Friday night to Justin to square off against the Byron Nelson Bobcats. Things looking good early for the Mustangs as Jacob Wilson cant handle the shotgun snap and Grapevine is there to pounce on the ball and get the turnover. That led to this, a 4th and goal and Grapevine goes for it and they would indeed cash it in as Victor Delacruz crashes in from a yard out, Mustangs take the early lead. Bobcats get their ground attack going here when Michael Giordano (ger-dano) goes right up the gut making sweet moves all the way to the endzone from 14 yards, nice piece of running there. Then the Bobcats go the air, here Wilson throws a beauty to Gavin McCurley who makes a tough catch as the defender is all over him and then somehow stays in bounds and flips into the endzone, WOW!! What a play by McCurley, that was 1 of 4 TD tosses by Wilson in this one as Byron Nelson handles Grapevine by the score of 34-24.
