Frisco Wakeland Wolverines vs. Frisco Heritage Coyotes - 2013 Basketball - Week 7

Special night Tuesday at Frisco Wakeland. Senior Justin Nicholas, who discovered a cancerous tumor in December, suited back up with his teammates for the Wolverines final home game. Nicholas has undergone 3 rounds of chemotherapy and his prognosis is looking good. Fundraising at Wakeland have already raised more then 11,000 dollars to help with the cost of the treatments. Coaches from Wakeland and their opponent, Frisco Heritage, also arranged ahead of time for Nicholas to score a basket at the start of the game. His family and friends were there to cheer him on. It was a memorable moment for the senior Justin Nicholas bite. To make things even more special, Wakeland would defeat Heritage in a hard fought game 67-65 to clinch a playoff spot. What a great night for the whole Wakeland community.
