Frisco Liberty vs Mansfield Timberview - 2023 Week 28 Girls Basketball Highlights

In the 5A final, the best sophomore in the country, Jacy Abii, led Frisco Liberty against Mansfield Timberview and she showed why she is so sought after early. First quarter she takes her defender into the paint and hits the floater. Later first, she gets the steal and goes in for the uncontested layup. 30 points and 12 boards for the super soph. Liberty up 14-12. after 1. Timberview was unphased. There's Brooklyn Terry for the open 3 and the Lady Wolves take the lead. Then it's Chrishawn Coleman with the drive and basket with the left hand. Coleman with 17 and Timberview led 29-22 at the break. Second half, Emilee Jones had a field day in the paint as she hits 2 of her 23 on the fadeaway and Timberview led 34-22. But the Redhawks raced back. In the 4th quarter, Abii finds Aziyah (Uh-ZAY-yaH) Farrier for 3...she score 16 and Liberty led 51-48. Liberty defense held Timberview to 1-20 shooting in the 4th and this 3 from Keyera Roseby sealed it. Liberty wins back to back 5A titles with a 60-51 win.
