Frisco Independence vs. Frisco Wakeland - 2020 Week 11 Football Highlights

Friday at Toyota Stadium ... Wakeland hosted Independence, and it was ugly - Knights up 41-7 at halftime.

A kickoff return made it 48-7, but Wakeland came back with a 4th down touchdown run from PEYTON LEWIS - he needed 2 yards and he got 30. It was 48-14 Independence still leading big.

The Knights responded with a touchdown of their own, but it took them a while, and that was the point. Independence put together an 18-play, 84-yard drive that chewed up nearly 7 minutes of the third quarter. The Knights were outscored in the 2nd half, but it didn't matter - they had the ball for more than 16 minutes, preventing wakeland from getting enough possessions to make a game of it. Dewayne Orr scored the touchdown to cap off this drive, and it was 55-14.

Wakeland scored two more touchdowns before it was over, but Independence gets an impressive win to improve to 3-and-1 in district 5-5A. Final score was Independence 55, Wakeland 28.
