Frisco Heritage and Walnut Grove were in a 3-way tie for first in 10-5A.
Heritage led by 6 at the break, and when TATUM BELL JR. scored on a cut to the basket, the Coyotes led by 10 (40-30).
PARKER EVANSON had a big night, specifically a big third quarter when he scored 10, bringing his team to within one heading into the 4th.
CAMERON LOMAX took advantage of a man-down to fire a three, as Heritage pushed the lead back out to 8 (52-44).
But the Wildcast kept coming and EVANSON kept firing -- this three-pointer brought his team to within 2 points. EVANSON finished with 24.
Despite those runs, Walnut Grove was never able to take the lead, and LOMAX scored 9 points in the final six minutes. Heritage wins 63-59 to take sole possession of first place.
