Mike Hawkins and his Frisco Emerson Mavericks took on Grapevine Thursday night in the first round of the playoffs.
As you might expect on a rainy night, Emerson had the ground attack working, here Kameron Lockhart speeds around the right side and gets in for the touchdown and the early 7 zip lead.
More Lockhart, this one he goes straight up the gut and in for the score, Lockhart finished with 144 yards and 3 touchdowns.
But he wasn't Emerson's leading rusher for the game, that would be the Oklahoma commit Hawkins, watch as he decides to take off here and then beats everyone to the pylon and in for the score, Hawkins ran for 210 yards and Emerson gets the playoff win over Grapevine by the final of 34-24 to advance to the 2nd round.
