Forney won their district game against Lancaster; Friday they met in the Regional final.
Lancaster scored on its first drive on a touchdown pass from CARTER JONES to EMMANUEL CHOICE. The Tigers led 21-14 at halftime.
Forney received the second half kickoff, and ALIJIA MERKSON needed only 11 seconds to go 84 yards up the sideline to tie the game - it was 21-21.
On Lancaster's next drive, their pass was picked off by Forney's fantastic safety AARON FLOWERS, who stayed in bounds, and then returned it 39 yards for the score and a 28-21 lead.
Their first meeting needed overtime ... this game needed two.
Lancaster scored on the first play of the 2nd overtime on this MAR'KEL PORTER run, but they missed the 2-point try.
Forney scored on its possession, and their two-point try is a winner!!! (KYLE CRAWFORD pass to KOFI EDUFUL) The Jackrabbits advance to round 5, where they play the winner of our next game.
