Highland Park opened the season at home. At halftime, they were tied with Flower Mound Marcus (10-10).
Third quarter, the Scots run a reverse and catch Marcus over-persuing. GRAYSON SHRANK gets a couple of blocks and is free to go the distance. H-P would take a 24-10 lead in the 3rd quarter.
Late in the 3rd, Marcus clawed its way back. COLE WELLIVER throws it to his big wide receiver ASHTON COZART in the corner - great catch by COZART, and it was 24-17.
Now in the 4th, the Marauders tied the game on a short run by CHANCE BENNER. It was 24-24 with just under 10 minutes to play.
But on the very next play, Highland Park took the lead to stay on this pass from BRENNAN STORER to JAY COX ... and the Scots get the win 38-24.
