HE WAS TALL AND AN UNCOORDINATED KID IN HIGH SCHOOL, BUT LAMARCUS ALDRIDGE WAS STILL IMPOSSIBLE TO HANDLE ON THE COURT. HE PLAYED FOR THE SEAGOVILLE DRAGONS AND WHILE ALL EYES WERE ON CHRIS BOSH AT LINCOLN, ALDRIDGE WAS POLISHING HIS LOW POST MOVES. IN HIS FIRST MEETING AGAINST BOSH ON THE VARSITY LEVEL, LAMARCUS SCORED 20 AND GRABBED 11 BOARDS. AS A JUNIOR, ALDRIDGE AVERAGED 27 POINTS AND 13 REBOUNDS A GAME AND BY THE TIME HE WAS A SENIOR HE SCORED JUST UNDER 30 A GAME WHILE LEADING THE DRAGONS TO A DISTRICT TITLE. NOT ONLY WAS HE DOMINANT ON THE COURT BUT IN THE CLASSROOM TOO AS HE WAS A NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY MEMBER. LAMARCUS WENT ON TO PLAY AT TEXAS FOR TWO YEARS BEFORE LAUNCHING HIS NOW 14 YEAR N-B-A CAREER
