Euless Trinity at Austin Westlake - 2021 Week 2 Football Highlights

We move south - way south to Austin where Westlake and head coach Todd Dodge welcomed Euless Trinity in a battle of 2 of the state's top 10 teams in 6A...Westlake gets on the board first with Clemson Commit Cade Clubnik dialing up Pierce Turner in the back of the end zone for the touchdown, great throw and catch its a quick 7-0 lead for the defending state champions...On Trinity's opening possession, facing 3rd and long quarterback Ollie Gordon calls his own number and breaks through the Westlake defense. He's a threat to score every time he touches it and he goes 55 yards before he's finally hauled down deep in Chaps territory. The drive stalls from there and they go into the locker room trailing 27-0...A much different story in the 2nd half though as Gordon breaks another long one, running over 2 defenders as the Trojans finally get on the board but they still trail 27-7..

In the 4th quarter they cap another impressive drive with David Langi banging in from a yard out but it's not enough as they fall to Westlake, 34-14.
