In January, six high school athletes from the Dallas-Fort Worth area were selected to participate in the prestigious Navy All-American game, an honor recognizing their standout performances in North Texas. This event provided them an opportunity to compete against the top players across the U.S., enhancing their skills and visibility. Among them was DeSoto's Sarod Baker, who had a phenomenal season with over 3,000 rushing yards and 45 touchdowns, leading his team to a state championship. Felix Ojo, an offensive tackle from Lake Ridge, also made headlines with his second appearance in the game and a significant NIL deal with Texas Tech. Richardson High’s Jamieon Winfield, a dominant defensive tackle, discussed his improvements and future ambitions at USC.
