Mansfield Summit looking to upset DeSoto Thursday night in the rain at Newsom Stadium
First quarter, Jags Phoenix Meza hooks up with Brendan Sirls for an 18 yard score. Summit up 7-0 after a quarter.
Desoto would race back in the 2nd quarter. Game tied at 7...and watch two Eagle defenders just crush Meza...he loses the ball and Ridarius Branch scoops and scores. 14-7 Desoto.
Later in the quarter, DeMarcus Jackson takes the handoff at the 4, bounces off a defender and scores. Desoto looked to have things in control at the half 20-7.
But hold everything. Summit was not done. Down only a touchdown, new quarterback David Hopkins launches one to Jaelen Travis....Travis makes the moves to get a 54 yard touchdown to put the Jags up and they win it 27-26...pulling off the huge upset
