The 6A Division 2 Regional Final featured a pair of old Rivals, DeSoto and Cedar Hill in the battle of Beltline, playoff edition! DeSoto would race out to an early lead as Deandre Riden Jr. finds plenty of room to roam in the Cedar Hill secondary, will he make it? Eh, not quite as he's forced out of bounds to set up a short touchdown run for a 14-2 lead.
Then its Cedar Hill Quarterback Anthony Edwards in his own end zone has this pass tipped and it falls in the waiting arms of Marshall Kirven to make it 21-2.
In the 2nd quarter Cedar Hill finally puts together a drive with Edwards getting it to La'Keldrick Williams and he does the rest but the Longhorns still trailing 28-10...Just before halftime the DeSoto defense strikes again as Brandon Booker takes this one the other way, DeSoto punches their ticket to the semi-finals with a 59-16 win and that defensive performance earns them this week's title belt!
