The defending 6A division 2 state champ DeSoto Eagles began their title defense by taking a trip north to face off against Allen.
DeSoto would crack the scoreboard first when Darius Bailey throws a beauty to Daylon Singleton who cruises in for the score from there, extra point no good DeSoto up 6 nothing.
Allen answers that immediately when Brady Bricker fakes the give and then straight up the middle and he's got nothing but green turf in front of him, 61 yards to the house, Allen takes the 7-6 lead,
Bailey goes back to the air here, and again he hits Singleton who makes one guy miss and thats all it takes, he strolls in for the score from 57 yards out, Bailey finished with 222 passing yards, 108 of which went to Singleton.
DeSoto put this game out of reach early in the 3rd when Jaden Trawick takes the handoff and goes untouched up the middle for the score, DeSoto racked up 536 total yards of offense against Allen and cruise to the 39-7 victory.
