Denton Guyer vs Austin Westlake - Game of the Week
Denton Guyer's Kaedric Cobb looking to finish off his outstanding season with a win against Austin Westlake, Guyer head coach John Walsh was loose before this one thinking his team had a real shot of bringing a title back to Guyer.
Westlake strikes first when Kirkland Michaux hits his tight end Jake Misch who was all alone in the endzone, Westlake takes the early 7 zip lead.
Then disaster for Guyer as starting quarterback Eli Stowers gets hurt and is out for the rest of the game, so bring in freshman Jackson Arnold to finish the game for Guyer.
Arnold would be overwhelmed by the Westlake D for the entire game as the Guyer offense struggled to get anything going.
Cobb would find a little room here as he showed no quit as he drags the pile down the field, Cobb finished with 162 hard fought yards for the game.
The struggles continued in the 4th qtr has Guyer fell behind 24 to nothing, trying to find the endzone here but Arnold's pass is picked off in the endzone as Westlake completes the shutout win over Guyer by the score of 24-0, head coach Walsh was very proud of his team's effort after being put in very difficult position.
