McKinney and Denton Guyer are duking it out for 2nd place in district 5-6A.
Guyer was down by 6 in the first quarter but cut that lead in half when they swung it around to TUCKER MITCHELL for the 3-pointer, and it was 11-8, Lions still leading.
Later in the first, McKinney's BRADY GIVENS knocked down a 3, and then 35 seconds later, he hit another one from the opposite side of the court. Lions led 23-10 after the first quarter.
Malik Archie scored off his own miss here, part of his 20-point night, as the Lions knock off the Wildcats 60-53 and move into 2nd place behind Allen.
