Sanger opened up their season at Aledo's Bearcat Stadium against Clifton Friday Night... Sanger doing a good job of taking advantage of opportunities in this one... Here Rylan Smart fakes the hand-off and keeps it himself going to his left... slips the tackle and gets into the endzone for the score... Clifton not giving up... in the second half the Cubs would get the running game going... First it's Joe Taylor who takes the hand off cuts inside and goes straight up the gut to score.. that gets Clifton to within a touchdown of the lead... They would take that lead when Alex De La Hoya breaks into the endzone early in the 4th quarter.... Sanger feeling the momentum shift when the defense begins to show up....Carson Stamper puts a stop to the running attack as he steps up big to end this drive.... That is all the Indians would need as Tallyn Welborn proves he is a force to be reckoned with. Here he takes the hand off from Rylan Smart...makes a nice cut to turn it up field...
