Celina Lady Bobcats vs. Argyle Lady Eagles - 2013 Basketball - Week 3

K.J. Stastny had a great state tournament last year for Celina as a freshman...now as a sophomore she is the team's leader as they took on Argyle in a battle of 2 state ranked teams. First quarter, despite the numerous times Momma said to shut the backdoor, Celina left it open and Jesse Sheridan went right through it for the layup. Then Stastny runs her defender into a pick which frees her up for the 3 ball....BANG!!!!! Ladycats up 8-7 after a quarter. Stastny then sees a cutting Sarah Cantu for the nice pass....Cantu does the rest as she finished with 12 points on the night. It was tied at 15 at the break. 2nd half, Argyle's Delaney Sain gets behind the defense and Sheridan finds her for the basket. This game would head into overtime tied at 34. But Celina would prevail behind Alex Jones. This 3 pointer helped her tally 14 points and Celina hangs on to win this one 38-36.
