Byron Nelson Bobcats vs. Denton Broncos - 2013 Basketball - Week 7

Senior Night at Byron Nelson as Chris Nickells and the rest of the Bobcat seniors were honored before the game. Nelson taking on surprising Denton for 2nd place in District 5-4A. Off the inbounds, Connor Mullis seals off the defender leaving Keyunta (Key on tay) Watkins open for the 3 in the corner. He led all with 23 points. 2nd quarter, Denton's Michael Jackson "wanted to be starting something" and he did. As he would see the double team, but would "Beat It" to the hoop. This game was a "Thriller". Ok, enough with the Michael Jackson songs. But he did finish with 19 points. Trailing at the half, Byron Nelson came out hot in the 3rd. Watkins with the pretty bounce pass to News-a-quay-zee for the basket inside. 19 points for him. The Bobcats take 2nd place in district with the 67-51 victory.
