The Burleson Elks have secured a spot in the 5A Division II play-offs, but Jalen Kitna and his team were looking for more against Demarco Roberts, Jo Jo Earle and the rest of the Aledo Bearcats. It didn't take long for Aledo to show off why they are ranked #2 in the state as Roberts takes the hand off from Brandon Fowler-Nicolosi and finds a lotta green grass on his way to the endzone to put Aledo on the board, certainly looking like a team on a mission. Burleson knows how to spell success, and for them it's A-R-M, as in the arm of Jalen Kitna. Here Kitna drops back and throws an absolutely beautiful ball to #4 Luke Peterson in the corner of the endzone.. that's nice. Aledo's defense willing to just shake it off, as they would be a menace in the Burleson backfield all night. Here Caden Anderson and Chris Wright, combine to bring down Kitna....But if you want to have a picture perfect night you are going to have to get the ball in the hands of Jo Jo Earle. Lots of ways to do that. Here Aledo lines him up behind center, in what we have to believe they call the ""Bear Cat"" and well, yeah... you can probably guess what happens next. The Jo Jo Jets get get turned on and Earle tears up the sideline and into the endzone. Aledo with district 5-5A as they get the win 56-24.
