Brewer vs. O.D. Wyatt: Back-and-Forth Battle as Chaps Chase Historic 6-0 Start

October 7, 2026
O.D. Wyatt chased a historic 6-0 start against Brewer in a back-and-forth contest featuring touchdowns from both quarterbacks and key plays on both sides.

For the first time since 1984, O.D. Wyatt's football program stood at 5-0 heading into a matchup with the Brewer Bears, who came in at 4-1 and looking to play spoiler.

The Chaps set the tone early. On Brewer's first possession, cornerback Kamarion Harrison came up with an interception to give Wyatt the ball in good field position. Quarterback Kentrall Stewart capitalized shortly after, bursting into the end zone to put O.D. Wyatt ahead 7-0.

Brewer answered through the ground game. Running back Kameron Coleman, one of the Bears' most reliable weapons, fought through contact at the goal line and gave a second effort to punch it in and even the score at 7.

Wyatt responded with a big play through the air — Stewart connected with Markavion Toombs on a long pass, setting up another Chaps score to push the lead to 14-7. But Brewer quarterback Isaiah Foster kept the Bears in it, powering in for a rushing touchdown of his own to tie the game at 14.

The back-and-forth first half set the stage for what promised to be a competitive finish, with Wyatt's bid for a historically rare 6-0 start hanging in the balance.
