A cross-town rivalry took place in Arlington Friday night between the Colts of Arlington High and the Lamar Vikings. The Colts strike first when quarterback Kris Sims throws the quick out to Joel Murray who weaves back across the field, 38 yards to the house and the quick 7 zip lead. Lamar answers that quick strike with one of their own, Viking QB Jaden Morris fakes the handoff and then hits LeAndre Roberts in the flats and the easy TD, were tied at 7. Colts come right back, Sims throws to BJ Rogers in the flat and then Rogers does the rest, leaping over people as he travels 53 yards down the sideline for the score, Colts back on top. Then the Colts D would take over, here Morris looks to go deep but Richard Toney is there for the sweet INT for the Colts, and from there the Colts would cruise the 10 point win 31-21 over the Lamar Vikings.
