Big 9-6A battle in Prosper Tuesday night as Allen faced Prosper for the top spot in district.
Allen entered 3rd up 4 and added to that as Manny Obaseki (O-buh-seck-ee) runs the break and just leaves a sweet pass for Bryce Kennedy for 2 of his game high 18 points.
Allen would make the lead double digits when Obaseki drives to the paint, does a little up and under and flips the ball in the hoop with his left hand.
But don't count Prosper out. Luke Chaney with the steal and he pushes it up to Mondo Battle for the dunk. Battle with 13 points on the night.
More Prosper defense, this time Mondo with the big swat on Obaseki igniting the fast break. Ammon Allen to Neal Utrup and Prosper has cut the lead to 3.
Too much Obasekt down the scratch. He finished with 15 points including this incredibly high tear drop. Allen takes a stronghold on first with the 72-57 win.
