A chilly and drizzly night in Plano for Allen and Lewisville.
The Fighting Farmers got the first punch in, on the 2nd play from scrimmage. Quarterback Ethan Terrell broke loose on a 74-yard touchdown run. He finished with 144 rushing yards on 19 carries.
A high snap and wet weather don't mix ... Allen got a safety here, and those two points would end up being big.
After the Eagles scored to take a 9-7 lead, Lewisville came back with a 20-yard run from Tenel Hill to take a 14-9 lead.
But on the ensuing kickoff, Caleb Smith caught it at the 4, and would take it back 96 yards! The teams traded field goals in the second half, and Allen wins by 1, 18-17.
