Allen was playing in the championship game of their own tournament, taking on Beaumont United.
KAYDE (CADE) DOTSON got United off to a good start in the first quarter - his third 3-pointer helped the Timberwolves take a 21-12 lead.
Allen stormed back late in the 2nd quarter when ANTONIO SHANNON nailed a 3 from the wing to cut the lead to 6...
... and moments later NEO LAWRENCE hit one of his own, and the Eagles were within 3, at 29-26.
DOTSON had 17 in the first half and kept it rolling in the 3rd ... he hit back-to-back three's to put United up by 14 points.
The Eagles had another run in them, and his name was DJ THOMAS. He scored 5 points in 10 seconds, then added two free throws to give Allen its first lead since it was 2-0.
But *CADE* DOTSON was in full *ARCADE* mode ... his eighth three-pointer put his team back in front, and then his *ninth* would basically put the game away. DOTSON finishes 9-for-13 on 3's and scores 30, and Beaumont United wins the Allen Eagles Holiday Invitational 70-62.
