Jacquarion Turner has been running all over his opponents for two years now, but he was extra special last Thursday night. Against the Longhorns of W T White, Turner broke loose for 302 yards and 4 touchdowns and threw a touchdown as well. The Colonels pulled away from White in the fourth quarter thanks to their workhorse. The win also helped break an 8 game losing streak. For his efforts, Jacquarion Turner is this week’s MVP bobblehead winner.
Sam Harrell coached the Ennis Lions to 3 state titles, but had to step away after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Harrell went through several treatments using stem cells and after years was able to walk again. Now, Harrell is back on the sidelines for Ennis as their head coach and no longer stresses over wins and losses. He cherishes every moment on the football field.
